Craig D. Short, age 49 of Birmingham, passed away Tuesday, Aug., 24th 2010 in a Birmingham hospital with his family who loved his so much at his side.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a devoted Christian, son, friend and uncle.  Craig was born Nov. 28th 1960 in Birmingham, AL.  He Graduated from Brookwood High School in 1979.  He was a master carpenter for 25 years. 

He was preceded in death y his father, Ray Short, his brother, Terry Short, his nephew, Adam Short; grandparents, Burl and Mertie Townsend, and B.T. and Mable Short; and many cousins that he loved so much.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret "Nell" Short, his brother, Chris Short, his nephew, Spencer Alexander; his nieces, Heather (Kevin) Alexander and Jeanie Alexander;  his best friend and co-worker of 25 years, David Bagget. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug., 27th, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Thompson and Bro. Jonathan Blackstock officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Abernant with Bessemer Brown Service Funeral home directing.  Visitation will be Thurs., August 26th from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
