Graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 1983. Started teaching in the Tuscaloosa City School System in August 1983. Got married to Ricky in December of 1983. Between 1983 and 2000 I served as a high school teacher, cheerleader sponsor and softball coach. In 1990, I earned my Masters degree from the University of Montevallo and in 1998 I earned my next degree in School Administration. In 2000, I moved to the Tuscaloosa County School System and I became the assistant principal at Northside High, in 2005, I moved to Hillcrest as assistant principal and in 2007 I was named Principal of Duncanville Middle School. I retired from public school on November 30, 2011. Since that time, I've served as a Headmaster of a private school, taught classes for the University of Alabama and was a teacher recruiter for Alabama. I now work for Bill Miller Photographers as a sales representative.
In 2018 the Lord gave me one of the best jobs of my life. Our oldest son Patrick and his wife Demi had a precious baby girl, Ellie. My greatest blessings, Ricky, Dustin, Patrick, Demi and Ellie now call me Mama D. ♥️
