Hey, gang!  I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder May 28th.  So, this is my 1st time on.  (If you see where it looks like I've been on, that was my sister, getting an update for me).  I'm right handed.  I had a 1 inch tear in my tendon.  It was an open cut surgery about 4 inches long.  I should get the 12 staples out next Thursday, the 11th.  Unfortuntally, I've had a complication.  I have a very bad varicose vein above my left knee that circles back behind my knee at the top of my calf also.  I've got phlebitis in my vein from being put to sleep during surgery.  I've had so much swelling and pain in my leg that I couldn't walk.   So. I've had a MESS!!!  The antibiotic the Dr. put me on , didn't work.  So, we changed it to something stronger. It has helped a little, but I have a LONG way to go!  If the  reunion had been this weekend or last weekend, I really could not have made it! So, PLEASE keep me in your prayers!!  I really  want to see you all!!

Okay, next time you have to tell us to pray BEFORE your surgery so you don' end up with all these complications!    I certainly pray that you have an uneventful week of recovery and a speedy one--we sure hope that you are up and about for our reunion weekend.  It won't be the same without ya!
